This project starts at the beginning of Summer 2021 when one day, collecting pictures of Christiane on Pinterest, I meet Lost Boy.

The original idea was quite simple: matching the right picture to the right quote of the book.

But as often happens, I get carried away by things far beyond the initial intentions… and so here we are, a few months later, with a project that has become enormous and that along the way has changed its shape and architecture several times to become the one which is.

Riccardo Pagani (Ric). A career in communications and advertising coupled with a kinky attraction to coding and software. I discovered Germany by chance thanks to a business trip lasting a couple of months. Since then I have tried to learn their language with great effort and poor results. Lost Boy. Living encyclopedia of everything related to Wir Kinder vom Bahnhof Zoo, a boundless love for Christiane and Berlin and a unique ability to find everything hidden on the internet. More about me on: Facebook profile, Instagram profile.

January 5th, 2022 | Beginning of the beta test

When I read the book for the first time, I barely understood maybe half of it.

I didn’t know who David Bowie was, so the concert at the Deutschlandhalle was… a concert.

I didn’t know what a hookah was, so I assumed it was something like my father’s pipes on the shelf but as big as an elephant trunk.

I was just a kid reading another kid’s story.

I should have needed a lot of footnotes to explain and show me step by step what I was reading. Now, years later, I put those footnotes where they should have been.
